Hi madhumitha,
Thanks for joining testersdesk; it’s my pleasure to help you out.
Let me tell you what it is…
The name it self sounds that every thing is readily provided for tester on desk to test his application.
- It is a worlds first Online Toolkit for Software Test Design and Test Data Generation from India.
It serves testers in many areas like functionality, security and many more areas.
Let’s talk about Test design part:
Let us say, you are testing whether the printout of your target web-page from the browsers is perfect or not, and let us assume following are the Test Parameters across which you need to cover the tests-
OS:Win XP,Redhat Linux,Macintosh
Browser:IE 6,IE 7,Firefox,Opera
The total combinations that need to be tested are 3 operating systems X 4 browsers X 2 types of Orientation X 3 sizes X 2 types of Color, that is, 144.
Our Pairwise Test Case Generator takes the above input, prepares a list of "all pairs" of values from the Test Parameters and packages them in the least possible number of test cases/combinations. In this specific case we are able to create 13 test cases that cover all the pairs. Check it in the below list.
Win XP,IE 6,Portrait,A3,Mono
Redhat Linux,IE 6,Landscape,A4,Multicolor
Macintosh,IE 6,Portrait,A5,Multicolor
Win XP,IE 7,Landscape,A4,Mono
Redhat Linux,IE 7,Portrait,A3,Multicolor
Macintosh,IE 7,Landscape,A5,Mono
Win XP,Firefox,Portrait,A5,Multicolor
Redhat Linux,Firefox,Landscape,A3,Mono
Win XP,Opera,Landscape,A3,Mono
Redhat Linux,Opera,Portrait,A5,Multicolor
Think for a wile manually is it possible for any tester to sketch all combination and to cover them. If at all he succeeds how much time does he needs to spend on this single testing?
At that Point of time Testersdesk is needed.
Coming to TestData Generation Tools:
Say you are asked to test an application where you are supposed to check uploading a file where in it accepts a file of 700mb.To test this field first of all where do u get this 700mb of file to test it. How will you prepare this 700mb of file? If you can do it how much time does it take to prepare a 700mb of file?
Let me remind you that we are testers not clerks we are not suppose to waste our time in doing clerical
Jobs like preparing a 700mb of file etc... So hear comes our size based file generator an extraordinary feature from testersdesk .which serves you to generate file of your desired data up to 5GB.
You just need to specify size of the file and what type of data you want in it, it will generate a batch file you just save it on your system and run it, it will automatically generates your desired size of file.
Like this there are more than 20 interesting features in testersdesk which serves testers in many ways.
Try to explore the tool if you have any quires feel free to get back to me.
