Quality Center (QC) - Quality Center simplifies and organizes application management by providing you systematic control over the process. It helps you create a framework and foundation for your application management workflow. Quality Center features a system for organizing and tracking application releases, enabling you to align your business priorities and quality expectations with your project requirements, tests, and defects. Quality Center helps you define and maintain a project database of requirements and tests. Requirements help ensure that all aspects of your application's functionality are covered. Tests can then be automatically generated from these requirements to ensure the correct aspects of the application are being tested. To meet the various goals of a project, you can organize the tests in your project into unique groups. Quality Center provides an intuitive and efficient method for scheduling and executing test sets, collecting test results, and analyzing the data. As a part of QC admin you can perform the below task. 1. Setup and configuration of the overall Quality Center technical and operating environment in a Windows/Linux Server and SQL Server/Oracle with standalone and cluster environment 2. Setup and configuration of Quality Center projects 3. Accountable for resolution of issues within Quality Center 4. Expertise in Quality Center, which deals with the managing the testing, tools like Win runner and QTP which is well known products from Mercury. 5. Work with project admins to troubleshoot users’ issues 6. Compile list of QC users count. 7. Assist in user id clean up, Create User Ids , Reset Passwords ,Create New Projects 8. Configuring Quality Center User Groups, Project Entities, Project Lists 9. Providing technical assistance to users of Quality Center 10. Integrating Quality Center with external sources such as Excel, Requisite Pro, Word, etc. 11. Administration of existing Mercury Quality Center server for Quality Control process activities across multiple COE, projects and groups. 12. Set up new Quality Center Projects, add new users, change existing users groups and/or projects, delete users, reset passwords, add user defined fields, add user defined list items, add user defined groups & add users to those groups , adding users to the tool, project removal, and performing all upgrades, patches and enhancements. Strong understanding of the interoperability between the various Operating systems, Security requirements. 13. Resolve any integration questions or issues, and determine if issues are related to Quality Center, another tool, or a system / network issue.
