POS stands for Point On Sale, we will find this any major retailer shop. For Ex: Big Bazaar, Reliance, or any other shopping malls. If we consider Cashier Functions we have two options,
1. Front end which we can see if we visit in any of the mall
2. Back end for backend operations
UI part, which were handle by the executives
Need to login with Username and Password: Then they are able to access that particular POS machine
Once they logged in they we able to open the window and able to enter the details by using bar code
In payment module, they have different drop down options to choose credit card, gift vouchers, Gift cards, promotional coupons etc., once entering the details cash box will be unlock able to access the cash box. Once the transaction done, it will lock again and need another transaction to unlock.
All the back end operations will be done between 12:00 P.M to 5:00 P.M. Updating promotional offers, availability of stock details, discount offers, etc., They will release a patch file to update this information.
