Use Case is a doc which explains the user action and system respose with respect to the buiseness scenarios
Thank u,
Sathya.
A use case is made up of a set of possible sequences of interactions between systems and users in a particular environment and related to a particular goal.

Use cases can be employed during several stages of software development, such as planning system requirements, validating design and testing software.
Thank u,
Sathya.
As Per my knowledge use case is like requirements to develop the application like set of functionalities ,identify, clarify, and organize system requirements. The use case is made up of a set of possible sequences of interactions between systems and users in a particular environment and related to a particular goal..use case mainly consists of end user perspective.A use case can be thought of as a collection of possible scenarios related to a particular goal, indeed, the use case and goal are sometimes considered to be synonymous.
It is a solution that is translated from client's requirement into some document that is easily under stable by a software engineer

Sathya,

Usecase is a Object Oriented Modelling & DESIGN(2/3 phase of SDLC) TECHNIQUE used to represent the system's behaviour with different user(actor) interactions(flow).

Usecase IF documented is called as a "Usecase Document"!!!

Usecase is NOT a requirement, it's simulation of requirement!!!

How to write testcases using Usecase diagram?
