How to test or check Browsers compatibility view (IE6,IE7,IE8, Mozilla firefox,Crome) ?

I dont think any tools available for cross browser testing , we need to install each browser and test the application.As we find more UI related bugs in cross browser testing so tools may not be very effective also.

I agree with Pragadeesh's answer. Its perfect but there is one little thing I want to add with his answer that is you will not only find UI related bugs but also will find skin related issues as well as some of the functionalities related issues where Scripts are being used.

Hi Mahesh,

Sorry to say, but it is not possible to check cross browser by any automation tool.You have to install all required browser & then have to check manually.You can use microsoft virtual pc application for that.

Yes, It Is possible to check cross browser by any automation tool.You have to install Multi-Browser Viewer -
Test your site for cross browser compatibility in more than 40 browsers on 3 Operating Systems. Then validate and auto correct all the HTML errors. The easiest way to test your website for browser compatibility.

Mahesh,

It is very much possible to check or test your website for browser compatibility. The tool I'm referring is a kind of plugin but yet its very useful and you can have IE6, IE7 or IE8 in one machine.

I download (http://spoon.net/Browsers/) Puglin , but i didn't get where it will show the Browsers compatibility view (IE 6,7,8),

Please let me know where i will get the Option to migrate the IE version

Mahesh,

Please install the plug-ins when downloaded. Now open the link http://spoon.net/Browsers/ in IE browser.

If you want IE 6 then there is an icon - the first time you need to click on it and it will enable it but may take some time. Once the process is over it will automatically open IE6 browser.

am not able to get Icon for IE 6 , Right now i have IE 8 but in Status bar it showing page error while using http://spoon.net/Browsers/.

Let me give one more shot, Mahesh.

First download spoon-plugin.exe ..... just google it and you will get it.
Once you run it. Enter http://spoon.net/browsers/ in IE ...... you'll get something like as per the attached file. The first time you need to click on "Install Plugin". It may take some time depends on your system configuration and once done, it will automatically open the respective browser in new window.

Please note that the green icon enables only after you click on "Install Plugin" and complete the process.
