Hi ,

you can read command line arguments as

System.getProperty("property name");

say if you wanted to pass browser name via command line

String browsername = System.getProperty("browsername");

and pass browser name from command line as

-Dbrowsername="firefox"

Pass to "where"?

If you define a build parameter like "param" you will be able to access its value later in Jenkins configuration as %param% if Jenkins agent is running on Windows or ${param} if Jenkins agent is running on Unix derivatives (Linux, MacOSX, FreeBSD, etc.). See wiki page comments to learn how people use them.

Example of using Jenkins parameters with Apache JMeter is described in Continuous Integration 101: How to Run JMeter With Jenkins
