In my experience product based testing is best visualized by a product moving through its product life cycle with new features, fixes, existing performance being tested and regressed to ensure quality. Project based or Feature based can be visualized as individual work entities, new features, new framework that is justified by business and return on investment to start the life cycle of development, test and delivery.  I have seen product releases with over 100 projects being developed, tested and deployed, with each one having its on priority, timing and justification.  Looking for a role in this type of environment again! Hopefully  soon! The wife's getting tired of me asking her to put more money in my account.<S>
