ECP(equivalance class partion) is the part of input domain testing.

in that testing to measure "type" of input object

type of input objects :

a)A-Z AND a-z character

b)0-9 digit

c)special characters

d) blank

let be take a one example......

A textbox allows 12 digit number alongwith " * "(astrics) as mandatory.sometimes it will allow "_" (blank) also

ans:- the ecp of the above example is

for valid testing it pass for " * " (astrics), " _ " blank and 0-9(digit)

for invalid testing it fail for except " *" (astrics)," _ " blank and 0-9(digit)
