Hi Pinky,

Deferred bug is the bug which belongs to the next version or release or its a bug which does not have high severiority or A defect that is confirmed by the team to be a bug but the effort to correct it at this time exceeds the ROI (Return On Investment), then the status will keep as deferred.

A defect that is confirmed by the team to be a bug but the effort to correct it at this time exceeds the ROI (Return On Investment). This can often be the case when a re-design is scheduled for that area of the application, or if technology barriers exist that make correction of the bug prohibative.
Client might accept the release with this issue and would have hold the issue for the moment. In this case PM would have deferred the issue/bug until further notice by the client,

Along with above point we can consider :-- There could have been some technology barrier, that would have made the architect/PM to defer the bug until further notice
