The prefix Re is placed before the word Testing which itself means the Once again.
Hence, the term Re-Testing means, testing an issue once again after it got fixed.

Retesting is much important activity withing bug life cycle.
Because sometimes bug fixing is introduced few more issues in to application.& importance of the bug is only one knows who submitted this.
