An Overview of Mobile Testing

Posted on July 17, 2008 at 12:00pm 3 Comments

Introduction

Most general software testing principals apply equally well to mobile solutions, although the number of tools available for mobile testing is much smaller, and there are a lot of extra potential problems your users can encounter that you have to test for. Many mobile solutions involve a significant hardware element in addition to the PDA, such as scanners, mobile telephony, GPS and position based devices, telemetry, etc. These extra hardware elements place… Continue

About Telecom Testing?

Posted on July 17, 2008 at 11:52am 0 Comments

Telecom domain is one of the hottest domain around. But Most of the domains possess similar testing culture and basics are very much handy. Testing in Telecom mostly revolves around the connections like IP based connections like FR, ATM, DSL, PL, IPL, Data transfers and their respective speeds, hardware devices etc. though you would not need to test all this. You may be assigned on one subject like FR, ATM etc and you need to work on it as per requirements. To be more specific, depending upon… Continue

Why Automated Testing?

The purpose of automated testing is to increase the flexibility of time and resources, to avoid redundancy on test execution, increase test coverage, thus increasing the quality and reliability of the software. Test Case Design For Software Testing

Posted on June 16, 2008 at 1:36pm 1 Comment

The design of tests for software and other engineered products can be as challenging as the initial design of the product itself. Yet, software engineers often treat testing as an afterthought, developing test cases that may "feel right" but have little assurance of being complete. Recalling the objectives of testing, we must design tests that have the highest likelihood of finding the most errors with a minimum amount of time and effort.

A rich variety of test case design methods… Continue

Hi Kiran!
Today I take this opportunity to narrate you one important story of Japan.
After worldwar and bombarded by USA, Japan was almost
broken from its vertibrae. But Japanese students, scientists
and engineers vowed to work hard and intelligently for their Nation. They established JUSE (Japanese Union of Scientists and Engineers ).They were working for more than 8 hours a day relentlessly.Once their was a nationwide strike. The Japan's Premier (Highest political authority ) wondered:" How and why my countrymen should go on strike? He did not wait much and delivered a nationwide address on Television to withdraw the strike with immediate effect. He declared that union leaders should directly meet him immediately to discuss the cause and solution for the strike.Within no time there was a roundtable conference among them and the discussion revealed the cause of strike that People of Japan wanted to work for fourteen hours per day for their Nation. The Premier explained that it is adverse to human energy. Finally there was a mutual agreement to work for ten hours per day. That was the National spirit of Japanese and the sympathy of Japan's Premmier for his countrymen.

Today, we know Japan delivers a supreme technology with highest Quality with the least cost as compared to other nations.
