about yourself and what you do?
TL: I am Tarun
Lalwani and have done my BE in Computer Science from NSIT, Delhi. I
started my IT career in 2004 and currently work as an Automation
& Solution consultant at Infosys.

Gil Novak is an Automation Architect working in the Boston area.

QT: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and what you
do?
GN: I started my career writing test code for operating
system (VMS) library routines and computer language (DEC C) run
time libraries. I've done test development for API and SDK
products, and also for web services products. Most recently in my
career, I've done testing infrastructure creation using continuous
integration servers (CruiseControl.Net, Bamboo, TeamCity, and
Hudson). I've often done some work with release engineering and
build scripts on integration build boxes, as well as automated
installations of build artifacts onto virtual machines, followed by
automated smoke tests of those installations.

QT: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and what you
do?
GS: I am a software engineer and entrepreneur. I live in New
Jersey in the US. My wife and I have three grown sons. I like to
learn how things work and to solve problems. My training is in
physics, but most of my career has been in engineering, first at
AT&T Bell Labs and now with Testcover.com. About 20 years ago I
wrote my first combinatorial test tool, CATS. I was supervising a
system test team responsible for a family of local area network
products. The test job was large and labor intensive, with
extensive configuration requirements.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and what you do?
My name is Joel, I was born in Costa Rica and I now live in Israel
with my wife, 2 kids and a dog. I am a Testing Professional. This
means many things: sometimes I am a tester or a test manager, other
times a testing instructor or consultant, and you can also see me
as a regular testing blogger, testing lecturer and the Product
Architect for PractiTest. The main link for all my tasks is the

Can you tell us
brief introduction about yourself?
I am a mechanical engineer, cost accountant, quality consultant,
project manager. I have started my carrier as a mechanical engineer
and soon started working on production planning, cost control,
financial management, and quality management. I remember way back
in 1992, when I have designed and developed inventory management,
purchasing, finance management system on FoxBase. The system was
used for almost 4 yrs before it was replaced by MAPICS. I have
worked on several ERPs like MAPICS, SAP, BaaN CIV, MFGPRO. I was an
area expert for Manufacturing, Cost control, Industrial
engineering, Marketing and Sales etc while implementing those ERPs.
I was a management representation for ISO9001, ISO14000, BS18000,
ISO27000, ISO20000, CMMi. I shifted to software in the year 2000. I

Can you tell us
brief introduction about yourself?
I am a Quality Assurance Manager, Test Analyst, Business Analyst
and a Trainer rolled into one. I started my career as a Credit
Policy Analyst and then transferred to the Branch office to fill up
the position of New Accounts clerk in a Commercial Bank. I got a
breakthrough to work for the world’s leading Semiconductor Company
in 1995 to join the Manufacturing team. It’s from operations where
I started to learn the passion for Quality Improvement being an
active member of the Process Control team for Manufacturing, which
later paved way for me to take more responsibilities and challenges
and take active roles of becoming a Technical Training Officer,
Manufacturing Systems Engineer and Operations Business Analyst.

1. Tell us brief
about yourself?
I am Founder of ValueMinds. I started career in 1992 (when I was 13
years old), spent 7 years in running a local courier/logistics
business in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India; and then entered IT.
Self taught programming and served as an IT trainer for 3 years.
Served as a technical architect at Zeneb for a brief period to
build a J2EE product. it then spent 5 years at AppLabs, both in US
and India , handling technology solutions and presales in Software
Testing. Managed several complex testing projects while at AppLabs
and architected customized test harnesses for its clientele. Left
AppLabs while serving as an AVP/Principal Architect to found
ValueMinds. I live TestersDesk.com at ValueMinds and also
consult/train on special areas in Software Testing like Advanced
Tools in Testing and Security Testing.
I am deeply passionate about Product Innovation, Test Engineering,
Software Architecture, Teaching and Music (both listening and
composing; for example my recent album Nuvvo kala in telugu is a
reflection of that!).
