TestPlant's QA
automation and testing tool, eggPlant, is designed with businesses,
professional software application testers and process qa automation
specialists in mind. And, because it does not interact with the
underlying code, eggPlant is ideal for qa automation and testing on
any application including those that can cause problems for other
tools such as:
- Flash
- Java
- HTML
- .Net
- Eclipse
eggPlant provides automated QA test software that is
- non-invasive
- technology agnostic
- easy to script and use
eggPlant is a low-overhead, non-invasive black-box test and process
automation tool. Since it does not reside on the system-under-test
and is technology agnostic, it can test in many situations that
other tools cannot. By using image capture and advanced search
techniques, most UI changes are not a problem.
Environment: eggPlant uses a VNC server to communicate with
the system-under-test, so nearly every environment can be tested,
from the most secure military command and control system to 30 year
old mainframes.

The following are a series of screenshots showing Eggplant
Functional Tester being hosted on
The Eggplant Connector:
The Eggplant Connector automatically finds any server where
Eggplant is running as a hosted service and presents it to the
user. When the user selects a server to connect to, Eggplant is
launched on that server and displayed on the user's Windows
desktop.

Eggplant Functional Tester being presented on a Windows
desktop:
As can be seen in the image below, Eggplant is displayed on the
Windows desktop and, with the exception of it having the distinct
Mac-like graphical interface, otherwise appears exactly like any
other Windows application.

Using Eggplant Functional Tester from Windows to perform an
image capture:
The beauty of the RiTA system is that it allows you to do
everything that you can with Eggplant running on the Mac but from
the comfort of a Windows desktop.
