a) Take any search engine site (Google, Bing, Yahoosearch…)
b) How to find no. of search results available in the selected search engine

Hi Siva,
I wish to do this exercise.I request you to guide me the steps.I am familiar with manual testing and new to automation.But I wish to learn it.Let me ask my doubts:
I started with google search engine.i have taken 2 sample input for search."Software Testing" and "Testing".For "Software testing" search, i got 61 pages with 9 links in each.so,(61*9).For "Testing" Search,I got 90 pages link with 9 links in each.I just manually counted this.So,for every search,the number of search results vary.If i use automation tool like "QTP",i should write code to find number of links?.Before that,i should write testcases.correct?Am i going in right direction?
