What is Manual Technical testing?
What is the difference between Manual technical testing and Manual functional testing?
It was asked in an interview call to my friend. The requirement is about Manual technical testing, not about Manual Functional testing. Please help me.

My suggestion to you would be when you get an interview call then you should be confident enough to ask back the question to the person who is talking to you. Mostly leaves an impression about your interest in the field you work. Now if an HR had called you it would be better for the HR to get requirement from technical team that what technical skill set they need.
Simple manual testing would not need any technical skill set and can be done by BA's who are knowledge bases of their domains and few good manual testers who gain knowledge based out of their experience in the domain.
Wherein as rightly told by tatashine regarding technical manual testing the manual flows that you would write will have to be validated for DBtrace, Webserver trace or data validation etc and then offcourse may also need some troubleshooting.
