Load Runner Virtual user generator does not work with IE 8?

I am trying to record a scenario using Mercury - Load Runner Virtual user generator 8.0, & default browser is IE8

When i try to record a script using Single Protocol , it says default browser is not supported by web vuser recorder

When i try to record with a Multiple Protocol , it hangs with IE & doesn't record with firefox

Can some body please help , i need urgent help please !!!!

Hi Sadia,

Did you try using different version of IE(7.0,9.0)?

Hi Sadia,

Better u try the version loadrunner 9.52.It only supports IE 8.

Can you not roll back to IE7? IE8 was atrocious browser version anyway, so not surprised it is problematic. It even causes issue in Microsoft Visual Studio test tool as well. IE7 much safer option. As it''s a load test, using different browser types is not the priority.
