Going forward please include essential parts of jmeter.log file or any other error messages you are getting as "JMeter does not work" doesn't tell the full story.

  1. From JMeter's main menu choose "File -> Templates -> Recording -> Create"
  2. Expand "Workbench -> HTTP(S) Test Script Recorder" and click "Start"
  3. Configure your browser to use JMeter as a proxy (host: localhost, port: 8888, "no proxy for" - leave blank)
  4. If you are recording HTTPS - install ApacheJMeterTemporaryRootCA.crt file (located in JMeter's "bin" folder into your browser)
  5. You should be good to go

See Apache JMeter Proxy Step by Step guide for more information.

NB: some people find using JMeter Chrome Extension easier, in that case you don't have to worry about proxies, SSL certificates, etc, you will be able to just follow your test scenario steps in browser and it will get converted into a JMeter test.

Hi Dmitri, Thank you for the response. I have gone thru the link provided by you and followed the steps as given. The issue is resolved now. The provided link is very helpful.
