How to justify the written test cases are enough for a particular functional point

Hi Guys,

I have a functional point and i had written 10 test cases which will cover the maximum number of scenarios.

Now my question is,

How can you say that the functional point is covered fully in your written test cases?

Pls help me out.

Regards,

Babu

Coverage of test cases can only measure by using traceability matrix to your functionality specification.

ex: for a log in screen if user requirement specifies that they need option for reset password then tester should make sure that test step included in our test case
@ Neeraja,

In Traceability matrix, we are mapping the test cases against the functional points what we have written.

But we are not saying that the written test cases are enough for testing that functional point or not .. right?

How can we ensure all the written test cases are enough for testing that functional point?.

Regards,
Babu
First thing is 100% coverage can never happen, is a myth.

Consider all the aspects of the functional point like positive, negative, transition, interactions, dependencies, business rules, conditions, collaborations you are in a better position to justify.

Thus only optimal cases are considered and enough from test facet.
