Quality is delighting customers
We are currently using Qualit Center 10 and ALM 11.
Can anyne explain me the indetail process to export all the testcases at one shot from quality center to excel sheet. (Complete folder).
I kindly request anyone to respond to the query.
Thank you in advance.
in QC go TestLab -->go testdesign,teststep--select the required tc's right click u will find export to excel.
Note: If u want to import tc's from excel to QC then u need to install excel add-in for QC, after this you see at option import to QC in excel for importing data to QC.
Useful information. Thanks.
But importing test cases from excel to QC is hectic, because even after installing the macros or QC plug-in to Excel, we still need to make many formatting changes to our test cases everytime to get test case properly imported to QC (Template preparation).
Is there any standard, simple template format available to make this process simple. Kindly share some information you know, regarding this.
Welcome to the site. Please call me if you want more information
Ramesh is right.
Genarally, people use export test cases/test steps from Excel using TDconnect(Test Director Connect) plugin. Dowload the plugin from internet and install it. Important thing is that only Microsoft Office supports TD connect and only from MSExcel you can export the test cases to QC. Please mention directory location in the testcases. Click Tools -> Export to QC -> follow the Wizard -> Map the neccassary and mandatory fields (Make sure that path is available in QC)
