Can We Use Load Runner for Validate the Performance In Telecom Applications or it's only useful for Web Application Level Testing ?

All,
Can anybody please tell me that can we use Load Runner in Wireless Application or in Telecom Applications ( GSM,CDMA,TETRA) for Performance Validation or only it can be use for Web based Application ???

Can you please tell me from where i can download the Trial version of Loadrunner 8.1 or latest version ? or Any Crack version is there ,then it will be more helpful for me Because i have to use it and have to prove infront of my Team that Yes Load Runner can be used in telecom project..so i have to evaluate it first,So can you please tell me the Source ???
